Medication Therapy Management
Helping you understand your disease state.

Prosperity Specialty Pharmacy is pleased to announce a new service available to you. Medication Therapy Management (MTM) will help you understand your disease state, reduce health care costs, reduce pill burden, and improve therapeutic outcomes.

What happens during an MTM session?

Your MTM pharmacist will meet with you, face to face or over the phone, to review each of your medications one by one. They will help you feel more comfortable with what you are taking and how to take it. Once the review is complete, you will receive a written master medication list you can use at home and share with each of your physicians.

Will the pharmacist make any changes to my current medication regimen?

The goal of the session is for you to become more informed about your medications. As a result of this review, the pharmacist may recommend some changes in therapy to you and your physicians. However, only your physician can change your prescriptions.

Can this service save me money?

Similar medications can have large cost differences. Your MTM pharmacist can help you find the least costly, most highly effective medications. Your MTM pharmacist may also be able to identify medications you are taking that you do not need or that you can take less of.

Why isn’t my neighborhood pharmacy providing this service?

MTM is a new initiative and not all pharmacies have been trained to provide patients with this service. The advantage of coming to Prosperity Pharmacy is that we have already taken the appropriate steps to provide you with this service. Keep in mind that taking advantage of this service does not mean you have to transfer all of your medications from your current pharmacy. We understand there may be more convenient locations for you to get your prescriptions filled.

As an enrollee, you will receive:

  • A comprehensive medications regimen review
  • Disease state management
  • Side-effect prevention and management
  • An on-call specially trained pharmacist

Prescription insurance may pay for some services. Those without applicable insurance coverage will be assessed a nominal fee. Call us for additional details and to make your first appointment. Walk-ins welcome.
